How to interpret declared, verified, third-party and derived data displayed by MarketBase.club.
Last updated: September 30, 2026
1. Purpose
MarketBase is a discovery, comparison and benchmarking tool. It does not provide a financial audit, investment advice, legal advice, accounting advice, solvency analysis or a guarantee of commercial success.
2. Declared data
Information entered by a founder, organisation member or seed source is declared until a provenance mechanism checks it. A description, reported revenue or self-reported metric is not independent proof.
3. Verified data
The `verified` status means MarketBase obtained or checked a value through the recorded source and mechanism. It does not guarantee that the source was complete, the value will remain unchanged, that an auditor certified it or that it represents available revenue, margin or valuation.
4. Third-party data
Google Search Console and Stripe data depend on provider permissions, limits, responses, API changes, synchronisation delays and errors. An outage, expired token or changed definition can alter a metric without a business change.
5. Derived data and estimates
- `calculated` means a value produced by a formula, such as a churn rate;
- `estimated` means a model-based or estimated value and must remain labelled;
- `public` includes demonstration or seed data and does not mean production verified;
- scores, ratios, aggregates and classifications may depend on parameters, periods and missing data.
6. Benchmarks and rankings
Rankings compare a set of projects using available data and a versioned formula. A rank is a relative position in a dataset, not a valuation, purchase recommendation, credit rating or forecast. A missing value is not zero.
7. No guarantee
MarketBase does not guarantee absolute accuracy, continuous availability, revenue, growth, SEO performance, business quality or a commercial result. Users should perform their own checks before an important decision.
8. Third-party content
Statements published by Users or visible from a listed business remain attributable to their source, subject to MarketBase’s legal duties. A profile, domain or status does not endorse the business.
9. Reports
A paid report gathers data and calculations available when it is produced. It is not an audit, due diligence, revenue certification or investment recommendation. Source limitations apply to the report.
10. Reporting and correction
To report an incorrect value, impersonation, rights violation or request removal of content, email [email protected]. Include the URL, precise reason, supporting evidence, your status and requested correction. MarketBase may request more information, temporarily hide content or refer the request to its author.
11. Related methodology
Public metrics show their source, status and collection date where available. The ranking formula is versioned and private integration data is not exposed in public HTML.
