GDPR

How to exercise GDPR rights with MarketBase.club and which technical limits currently apply.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

1. Your rights

Where GDPR applies, you may exercise the rights below. Their scope depends on the legal basis, purpose, data and obligations that apply to the operator.

2. Access

You may ask whether personal data about you is processed and request a copy together with the information required by Article 15 GDPR.

3. Rectification

You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data. For a public profile or metric, include the link, disputed value and evidence that helps us review the request.

4. Erasure

You may request erasure where Article 17 conditions apply, including when data is no longer necessary or consent is withdrawn and no other basis remains. Erasure may be limited by a legal duty, the defence of rights, payment-record integrity or the need to retain evidence.

5. Restriction

You may ask for data to be retained without active use where accuracy, lawfulness or an objection is contested, in the cases set out in Article 18.

6. Portability

Where processing is based on consent or contract and automated, you may request data you provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, within Article 20 limits.

7. Objection and withdrawal

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it for the future at any time; withdrawal does not make prior processing unlawful. For Google or Stripe authorisations, also remove access from the provider account.

8. Automated decisions and profiling

The repository uses AI classification to suggest a market, niche or business model. It organises and describes projects; no observed processing makes a legal or financial decision or one producing significant effects on an individual. Business rankings are not an automated decision about a natural person.

9. How to exercise your rights

Send a request to [email protected]. Identify the right, the account email or identifier, the relevant project and the requested scope. For a public correction, include the profile URL and supporting information.

MarketBase may reasonably verify identity or authority where disclosure or deletion creates a risk. Do not send passwords or integration tokens by email.

10. Response time and limits

We generally respond within the one-month period provided by GDPR, with a possible extension for complex or repeated requests where the requester is informed as required. Some data may be retained for legal duties, claims, abuse prevention, payment processing or journal integrity.

11. Account deletion

The current Settings page has no self-service deletion button or automated export. Send a request to [email protected] for manual review.

The request may cover the account, organisations, projects, connections and associated data. Data that must be retained for law, disputes, security, payment records or backups is not promised to be deleted immediately. The repository does not yet implement automatic purging; this limitation is tracked in the internal audit.

12. Supervisory authority

You may contact [email protected] before or alongside a complaint. You have the right to contact the supervisory authority competent for your residence or establishment. In France, the CNIL is available at cnil.fr.

13. References

These rights are described from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and are not legal advice.
